“Greetings. We are the Arcturian Council. We are pleased to connect with all of you.

We have a tremendous amount of respect for everyone who is there on Earth at this time, regardless of who they are, what they have done, and whether they are playing the role of a being of light or a being of darkness. We keep telling you that we are all in this together, and that includes those who are playing the role of the dark ones. They agreed to be the villains for all of you, in spite of the fact that they knew they would have to pay off their karma if they were going to ascend in this lifetime. And if they do not ascend in this lifetime, they will have to go back to a third-dimensional reality to pay off that karma that they are accumulating at this time.

That’s why it is so important that those who are playing the role of the dark ones have you. You are the ones who can forgive them, show them compassion, and uplift them with your light, with your positive energy. You can save them. You can bring them with you, or you can condemn or vilify them, which only lowers your vibration, making your ascension an event that will take place even further in the future. Therefore, we recommend the forgiveness path, because we know that you all want to ascend, and you all want to ascend quickly.

One of the reasons why many people want to ascend is to escape reality. Many just want to live on a world where they don’t have to do any of that hard work of forgiveness and offering compassion to those who have wronged them or others. We understand that; we still admire and respect everyone there on Earth, no matter what their point of view, because it is hard to be there, but what we are giving you and what we will always give you is the easier path.

We will always tell you which path has more joy on it, which is the shorter path, and which is the path that allows you to be more of who you are. You don’t want to just ascend because you didn’t do anything wrong. You want to ascend and feel the satisfaction of having taken such a high road that you were able to bring those around you with you who otherwise would not be able to make that journey.

So when you are thinking about what you can do to be of more service, or what you can do to accelerate the ascension process, the answer is easy. You can forgive, rather than condemn. You can look for the light within everyone. See them as Source Energy, and actually appreciate them for taking an even harder path than the one that you are on. Those who are playing the role of the dark ones feel even more separate from Source than the average awakened person who has their doubts at times, or who forgets who they really are.

One way to remember who you really are is to be Source Energy in action. Be the love that you have inside of you, and know that the love you have inside of you feels glorious when it is coming through you for no other reason than that you summoned it. It is very easy to love someone who is lovable, and certainly you want to start there. But we hope that you get to the point where you don’t want that feeling to go away. So you keep giving it to anyone and everyone who crosses your path.

Chapter 10. What is Evil?

You will have a new understanding of pain, fear, anger and jealousy.

Z: But 8; I have to ask about the idea of “others”. I mean, sure, I am projecting my reality. But what about my beloved soul-mate, Lisa? She seems to exist in my outer-reality. And what about my readers? Are these other beings in my world not real?

8: They are all absolutely real. Just not in the way you have imagined them to be. They are all just as you are. They are beautiful and divine aspects of the ONE; facets of the same great jewel shining in the light that they themselves are casting.

The trick is to understand that each and every aspect of the ONE projects its own reality. Every single reality is different. But here is the thing: you may decide to allow your reality to be influenced by the projections of another, if you choose. You might decide to agree to experience certain parts of your reality the same as someone else does. This agreement is a consensus. And so you have a consensus reality. You create it together, so it is co-created. And that is how you come to feel that you and others all inhabit the same reality. Actually you have simply come to an agreement with a number of other aspects of the ONE to experience similar things in a similar way. And that is how a game is played. A group gets together and arrives at consensus on the rules of the reality and then they enter the game.

But now we need to get back to the main thread of this discussion. We were, after all, talking about the issue of what to do about The Adversary.

Z: Yes. But I think I get it now. I project my reality. I am telling myself a story. By living myself into the story I get to experience myself in amazing new ways. This allows me to decide for myself whether the things I believe about myself and choose for myself are good. I get to see if they are working for me and making me happy in all kinds of different scenarios. If they do, then I keep them. If they don’t, then I make a new choice. This is the beauty and the value of the story that I am in.

So what happens if I encounter The Adversary? Well then, I decide if I like the encounter or not. Does it take me forward to where I have said I want to be, or does it not? If it does, then I have no problems. If it doesn’t, then I make a new decision about myself so that I no longer invite this interaction.

And if I think about it… it seems to me that an interaction with The Adversary is really just me, showing myself some place within myself where I don’t love myself. This is me, showing myself something that I reject and find unacceptable. That is why I set it apart as the enemy; as The Adversary. So, it very much seems to me that the answer would be to find that unloved part of myself and love it. If I could do that consistently each time I experienced The Adversary, then I think I’d probably come to cease experiencing The Adversary at all.

8: Bravo.

There are two important conversations that we need to have quite soon that you are now ready for. The first is about “Negative Consciousness Constructs”. It will form an integral part of the conversation about the nature of love. In it you will come to a new understanding of things such as pain, fear, anger and jealousy. You will see that these things are only a problem when they are “outside of you” – when you remove them from yourself and make them unlovable. When you reintegrate these things into your heart and make yourself whole again, then they not only lose their power over you but, in fact, become great and powerful tools, which you can use to the greater good of all.

And then I need to do a little more work with you so that you can correctly understand Shadow. Each and every part of the ONE that has encountered The Adversary has created a bit of The Adversary within themselves. This self-created inner-adversary is called Shadow, and for very good reason. It is your Shadow-Self. Though we have come to great understanding here about how to respond to The Adversary, there is a great deal of very important work that you will still come to do on this topic. And it is an essential topic. As long as anyone is under the influence of their own Shadow, they will lead themselves astray. They will use their creative power to self-harm. So this is a very important area where we need to do additional work so that you can step back into the power of your divine eternal self without risk of ever again causing yourself (or others) any harm.

Z: I look forward to both of those very much!

8: Good. But for now, can we agree to leave the issue of The Adversary

behind us?

Z: Oh, yes. This has been resolved for me in quite an unexpected way. I understand this issue now and it certainly doesn’t trouble me any more.

8: Good, but before we move on, I must ask you the usual question. Given what you now know… is Satan evil?

Z: (laughs) I have to laugh because I would have thought that is like asking, “Is the pope Catholic?” And yet, here I am, discovering that the answer to this is not as unambiguous as I had thought. It would seem to me that it is possible to experience Satan as evil. But it is also possible to see that this is just the role he plays here in this reality. And without him playing that role, this particular reality would not work as it does. And finally, it is also possible to see that I am allowing, choosing and creating all that I experience and so I am never actually victimised. There actually is no such thing as “evil”, after all!

You know, 8, I’ve just had a thought.

8: And that is…

Z: Well, it strikes me that it must be a pretty miserable and lonely job being The Adversary.

8: I believe it is a role that carries substantial challenges. There is going to have to be a great deal of love and healing given before this being will be able to find its way home when this reality is collapsed. But this too was chosen.

Z: Hmm… I am amazed to find myself again feeling some empathy here.

8: That is well.

And now it is time to bring this conversation to a conclusion.

“If there is such a thing as evil, then it is an opportunity to learn about love.”

This is true because, as you have discovered, evil is an illusory experience. And it is an illusion that you are only able to have when you believe that you are in a state of separation from the ONE. So that is the answer. Return your consciousness to the oneness and you will no longer be able to experience evil. You will no longer be able to feel your choices can be taken from you. You will no longer be able to feel that you are the victim of another. The whole experience of evil in all its guises will be left behind you.

Z: That works for me. Thank you, 8.

Now the only question is, how do I return my consciousness to the

oneness?

8: That’s right, that is the question. But you see, we first had to remove this obstacle from your path. As long as you were holding onto the idea that there are others out there who are so unacceptable that they cannot be a part of the ONE, then you yourself would not be able to return. It is like a blockage that you had placed inside your own heart. But that is shifted now and so we may proceed. And the way we proceed is… Love. Love is the one and only way to move back to a state of oneness.

Z: And that is what we’re talking about in the next chapter! Just as you said it would be.
