Chapter 10. What is Evil?

Z: You’re saying that nothing is intrinsically evil. Nothing at all. But some things might still feel evil to me?

8: That is exactly what I’m saying. Or I can rephrase it like this: evil does not exist objectively but it might certainly be experienced subjectively.

Z: Uhh… That is another way of saying I can feel like I am experiencing evil, but that does not mean it really, truly exists?

8: Correct.

Z: Okay, wow. I don’t really know what to do with this information. Because I can totally get this intellectually. I’ve seen the argument and even felt the truth of it in my heart but… I don’t know if I am yet willing to accept that all the wickedness and vileness, all the atrocities that have ever been committed and that continue to be committed are… what? An agreed-upon co-created illusion?

8: I understand. And that is why we must have this conversation. Because you must come to see it this way before you can ascend to Unity Consciousness. So I present you with a choice: on the one hand you can choose to continue to label certain beings and their behaviours as evil and, in so doing, you can keep yourself distanced and divorced from them, so that you can remain in a state of judgement of them and so you can keep feeling superior to them. On the other hand you can choose to be willing to come to an understanding that no-one is truly “other” than you, that nothing is eternally unlovable or unforgivable.

Z: And that’s the choice? If I am not willing to come to see it this way then I can’t ascend to unity consciousness?

8: That is the truth of it. As with all things, you always have a choice. This time your choice is between unity consciousness and duality (or separation) consciousness. Understand that there is no right or wrong about what you choose and no judgement of you for the choices you make. But what you choose defines who you are and creates the reality that you will experience. And, quite simply, you cannot become a being of Unity Consciousness and you cannot reside in a unity reality without being willing to see all as one, without being willing to see the “other” as “self” and without being willing to let go of the mechanisms of separation, such as judgement and hatred.

You see, my dear friend, this is the choice offered to you by duality. You can accept the offer of duality and continue to see yourself as separate from all else and travel ever outwards on the path of separation with fear as your motivator. Or, on the other hand, you can choose love. If you adhere to a choice for love, then you step onto the path of unity. You begin to travel back Home to oneness. It is true that you can, for some while, travel the path of love whilst still clinging to the illusion of separation. This is what happens with those who choose either the “Service to Other” or the “Service to Self” modes of being. And that is fine if that is what you choose. But sooner or later these paths too will converge and these beings will realise that the concepts of Other and Self are not what they first thought. That indeed there is only oneness.

If you follow what I am saying, then you will understand that it might seem as if there are many possible options and choices on your path. But really, it is not so. There is really only one choice.

Either you accept all as being one, or you create more separation.

The choice is yours. And you cannot move towards being one with All That Is, whilst still at the same time holding onto the view that some beings are so despicable and unlovable that you can simply refuse to accept them as being part of the oneness. All is one. Or it is not. Your choice.

Z: You have explained that very well, thank you 8. I get it now. I must choose between two ideas. On the one hand there is the idea of certain beings being beyond all possibility of ever being loveable. And so we label them and their activities as evil. On the other hand is the understanding that all of this is just a temporary illusory state. And that all beings are inherently worthy of love and are a part of God. That I am truly one with all beings and all things everywhere.

8: Yes. That is the choice.

Z: Well then, I choose oneness.

8: That is well. But if you make this choice half-heartedly, then it is of no value. You must make it completely and truly from the heart before it will result in a change in your experience of life.

Z: I understand and I am ready to make that choice. Will you help me to release the last vestiges of the beliefs and choices that keep me on the path of separation?

8: Yes. I will. And that is why I choose to have this conversation about evil today.

Z: Why you chose? This topic was my choice!

8: Yes. Exactly. You will still understand this eventually.

Z: (I smile and shake my head) Okay, so let me try to summarise what I have understood from you about evil:

It is when I feel that I have had my options taken away from me that I feel as if evil is being done to me. But these occasions when I might experience this are illusory. That is to say that I have actually chosen the experience of having my choices taken away from me and I can, in fact, always choose other. No matter how it might seem to me at the time.

8: Yes. And the fact that you are experiencing this evil means that you are probably working quite hard at believing that you have no other choice but to experience it. This is what you have chosen. You, as a creator, have created the illusion that you are not a creator. And you, as an inseparable part of the oneness, have created the experience that you are completely separate and alone.

Z: Whew! That’s quite a paradox, isn’t it, 8?

8: Yes, it is. But is this not consistent with the way the universe would be if you were in fact the creator of your own reality?

Z: It is.

8: And the opposite would also be true. If you were prepared to begin to choose that you were one with all, as you have now chosen, then something interesting would happen: as you make this choice and as it becomes more manifest in your reality, so it would come to be that, in time, you will cease to experience evil.

Z: Really? Choosing for oneness means I will cease to experience evil?

8: Yes. The degree to which you know it to be true that you are really one with All That Is, is the degree to which you will no longer experience evil. You can only experience the illusion of evil whilst you reside in a state of separation. Of duality. Once you remember your intrinsic oneness, then you cannot experience evil being done to you, nor can you contemplate doing it to another. It is only in the state of separation or duality that you can either experience the actions of another being as evil, or indeed contemplate enacting evil upon another being.

Z: Can you explain that to me, 8?

8: Certainly. At the level of oneness it is impossible for me to set out to do

any harm to you whatsoever. Z: Why 8?

8: Precisely because I know that you and I are one! You see, all beings who reside in a place of unity consciousness, directly experience everything that they do to another as being done to themselves. If I hurt you, then instantly, with that very action, I hurt myself in exactly equal measure also. In fact, the hurt I do to you is the hurt I do to myself also. That is what happens at the level of unity consciousness. And, as I don’t desire to hurt myself, I won’t try to hurt you.

You on Earth are residing within an illusion of duality, which means you have an illusion that this is not so. The instrument of “time” is used to separate you from your choices, so you do not see that it is so that everything you do to others you are doing exactly and precisely to yourself also. But we, outside of the illusion of duality, see it directly. We are one. We know this. We experience it. What I do to you, I do to myself. So a unity conscious being will never seek to cause harm because that harm is harm to self.

Z: Wait a minute, 8, are you saying that everything I do to another I also directly do to myself? Literally?

8: Yes. It is so. But you have a clever illusion of time and space that separates you from your creations so that you can believe that it is not so. But it is so. Hurt another and you hurt yourself. You might need to travel a bit of time and space to feel the hurt and so you might not realise that you did it to yourself. And you might be able to tell yourself when the hurt comes back to you that it was another being who did it to you. That is the power of the illusion. But it is none-the-less so; everything you do to another, you do to yourself. Therefore it would be very wise to,

“Do unto others exactly as you would have them do unto you.”

That is the best way to get treated as you wish to be treated.

Z: Okay, so if I walk up to a stranger and slap him through the face and run away then, after some time he will find me and hit me back?

8: Try not to be so simplistic in your thinking. Here is a better description:

What kind of a person would you be if you could just walk up to a stranger and slap him? Or perhaps a better way of asking this is, what kinds of beliefs are you expressing about yourself and about life, when you do this? Perhaps you are expressing a bratty child-like, “I don’t give a damn and I can get away with anything,” kind of a feeling? So you take advantage of that stranger’s unsuspecting, trusting nature. He is not defensive when you approach. So you slap him and run away. What you have actually done is shock him out of a feeling of trusting safety. You have stolen from him some of his innocence.

Now, it might seem to you that you selected this stranger at random, but you did not. You and he had a contract. This was agreed upon at higher levels. Quite simply, his soul needed this experience for reasons of its own. But we’ll not overcomplicate matters. We’ll let that soul’s choices and motivations go. The point is that that soul did actually ask for it. And so, at the level of the incarnated personalities, you gave him the gift that he was asking for.

So now, time passes for you. You move on and have probably totally forgotten that incident. Now you are, perhaps, in a bar having a drink. You see a beautiful young lady and decide to go and chat her up. Things proceed well. As you talk to her she seems like everything you are looking for in a girl. And she seems to really like you too. A romantic entanglement begins. You see each other a few times more and then, just as you are totally falling in love with her, just as you are ready to give your heart to her… you find her in bed with your best friend.

Z: Slap!

8: Exactly. You have just experienced the return of your gift. With a little interest.

You have just felt what it is like to be shocked out of your feeling of trusting safety. You have had your innocence stolen.

And that’s okay, because, on a soul-level you asked for it. You needed to know what it was like to feel this. Doing this to the other and having this done to you are two sides of the same coin. Two sides of the same experience. And, on a soul level, you created that. How you respond – what you will do with this – that will be up to you.

Do you make choices out of wisdom and compassion that lead you to wholeness and oneness? Or do you make choices out of ignorance and hatred that lead to pain and separation?

Choices, choices, choices.

You always get to choose and you always get the results of your choices.

Z: That was most instructive, thank you, 8. And so, if I apply that to my real-life situation, then I can see that when I previously chose to allow my ego-desires, fears and needs to push the story of the Singularity Event in the direction of a grand rescue for us all…

8: Same thing. In a number of different ways you experienced that being returned to you with interest. You caused others some distress. Those who had followed your works and read the previous version of this book. Some of them came to feel quite considerable pain when things did not transpire as had been promised in 2012. So they experienced feelings of loss, doubt, fear, distrust… You get the idea.

Z: And then I had that returned to me.

8: In a number of ways. You put yourself through the same kind of wringer when things did not transpire as had been written. But that was not sufficient. In order for your soul contract to be concluded, you needed to experience this being done to you.

Z: And now suddenly I understand it. This was why my home was burgled and my laptop stolen, wasn’t it?

8: Let’s see, shall we? Because you have, understandably, been struggling to make sense of that. So tell me, what were the feelings that this burglary evoked in you?

Z: Loss, doubt, fear, distrust… I get the idea.

8: And then? What did you decide to do with that?

Z: I went through hell, actually. I was so angry and I felt so violated. My home didn’t feel safe any more. And I lost a lot of work that was not backed up that I’ll never get back. There was stuff I was working on that I’ll have to start again on and…

8: … not to diminish your pain because I know it was acute for you. But that is not the question. What did you do with that?

Z: I… ah… well. Not much. I decided to try to understand how I had created that experience. I started to engage you in conversation. And I learnt a lot through it all about boundaries and about getting the results of our choices. But I didn’t ever feel like I had closure. I didn’t ever feel like I understood why it had happened. But now it all comes together. Now, in this conversation it has all landed for me. I finally get it.

8: So you can let go of that too?

Z: Yes. Now I can let go of it. 8: And your burglar?

Z: He was never found.

And at first I could not stop myself from wishing all kinds of evil upon him. I wanted him caught and then I wanted him to come to harm, for what he had done to me – and to Lisa too of course! But then… well… I don’t need to take you through my whole long process, but really I came to realise that he is obviously just another human being dealing with his own fear and lack. He took from me because he felt that was the only way to get what he needed. I don’t need to know his story. I can just let him go and hope that he makes better choices in future. For his own sake.

8: So you can let go of him also?

Z: Yes. I have let go of the whole situation now. It’s over and I have learned and grown a great deal.

8: And so? Have you just made your choices out of ignorance and hatred? Or have you made choices out of wisdom and compassion?

Z: It took a while, but I definitely feel I got to wisdom and compassion in the end. In great part, thanks to your assistance.

8: Every step of the way, it was about what you were willing to choose. Don’t diminish that. And since you chose from wisdom and compassion, what you get is wholeness and oneness.

You actually felt that happen, didn’t you? As you made the choice to come to acceptance of the loss of your laptop, so you found the necessary insight arriving that allowed you to begin to move on. As you chose for that and opened yourself to greater wisdom and grace, so you came to additional new insights that allowed you re-write the Singularity Event story in its rightness. And as you concluded the re-telling of the Singularity Event, so you are now able to come to a complete understanding of the situation with the laptop. These two experiences were energetically entangled for you. They were resolved together for you.

And now you can see that all has unfolded in divine right order. All have gotten exactly what they asked for and needed, and all continue to choose as they see fit and get the results of their choices.

Balance and harmony. Job done.

Z: Yes. Job done.

It’s amazing how these seemingly completely unrelated things are actually for me energetically linked. And how they are now resolved and released together.

8: You are now slowly becoming aware of your own creator nature. You are now beginning to see the cause-and-effect nature of your experiences. When you see this clearly you cannot any more think of yourself as being a victim to random events.

Others can, of course, look at your life and think that you are ascribing meaning where there is none. That these two things are not related. But you can feel how they are related. You know this is true in a way that you cannot deny.

Z: It’s true.

I really do arrive at the awareness that I absolutely do create my

experiences with my choices and beliefs.

8: I’ll tell you something interesting then. Your burglar has had his action repaid to him with interest too. It would not have been to the greater good if he had been “caught”. The reasons for this are complicated and unnecessary to our dialogue, but the point is that “Earth justice” involving police and prison was not required or useful here. But do not doubt; your burglar has already had his energetic investment returned and with considerable interest. He took from you the tools of your trade, your means of expressing yourself, your sense of security… and he has experienced far greater loss in all of these same areas.

I am telling you this to re-emphasize this point you are making. It doesn’t matter whether you are aware of your own creator nature or not. What you put out, will come back to you.

We tell you that every step you take in this world leaves a trail of light behind you. What does that look like? We’ve given the illustration for many years now that this is a game. And we understand that humans resist calling it a game, because there’s so much seriousness, pain, and struggle. But that’s the game. Not only did you write the rules of this game, but you literally wrote the many different ways to experience the game. Now the game is changing. It is no coincidence that many of you find yourselves on Earth at this moment. Most were here at the beginning, and the family is gathering for the next step.

That next step includes being able to carry more of your own spirit in your physical body. Your body will have the most difficulty with this shift, but that is already well underway. It increases the light in your eyes when you smile. That may not sound like much, but once mastered the light will lead and unite you. We can tell you that from our perspective this is being accomplished in many ways. The problem with more light is that it makes it difficult to hide.

One thing taking place right now, which very few people have been able to identify, is that many of the challenges of the collective are actually an elongated wave of grief. We mentioned this quite some time ago, when that virus came in and people started dying in mass. They’re still dying, even worse than before now. The interesting part is that not only is there a wave of grief for those who have left, but you’re also grieving your old lifestyles. That grief will play out for a time in many ways, including a rise in crime.

We’re going to take you much further down the road, because that’s what many of you came in for. Even as time travelers who have traveled back to be here now at this very moment, even just share a word or thought at exactly the right moment to exactly the right person. There is a shift ahead for which you are needed, dear ones, so don’t get stuck in the mud puddles.

Sacred Contracts

Sacred contracts are starting to trigger on a massive scale now. These are the big contracts you hoped to work on as a spirit. Your spiritual family on our side of the veil is around each of you more than you may know. So, don’t be surprised if suddenly you’re speaking with someone and a message slips out of your mouth without going through your brain. Humans call it channeling. You will be getting much more of this from time to time, as we give you these gentle nudges.

Every once in a while, someone will experience passion, laugh or smile. They do something that brought warmth to their heart. And in that smile for just a moment, you could see their spirit. That’s the game of hide and seek that we have been talking about, since we have been working with you. You’re looking for other spirits inside those physical bodies. The moment you can find and connect with them, know that they’re going to touch your spirit.

So, what happens when two people come together and shed all the energies, standing in the nakedness of complete energy to each other? They remember Home and fall in love. Depending on a person’s goals, belief systems, and sexual preferences, a relationship can progress. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be with everyone that you fall in love with. The idea is to fall in love with as many as you can, who align with your four vibrational lines of integrity: what you speak, what you think, how you act and what you believe. These are the parameters that will define the ways you allow yourself to fall in love, the “rules” of the game. Keep in mind that if you can fall in love with a person who passes you on the street without ever seeing them again, your spirit glows because of that expression. You are the ultimate beneficiary of that love. It could be said that you are in a game trying to see how many people you can fall in love with on planet Earth.

We see you, dear ones, you’re hiding behind those shells of physicality. You’re creating emotional memories that you recreate over and over and over again, trying to perfect them each time. Then when you have that, you return Home. You bring all this energy here and spread it out to the collective of all that is. Everything is recorded. Every pen stroke, every blink of an eye, every aspect has been recorded. We watch over your shoulders as you go through much of this. We find it interesting that some of you feel so incredibly alone when we’re right here. And not only us, there are many beings on realms that humans know very little about. In addition, there is an important gathering taking place on this side of the veil to assist in this transition of all of humanity.

Mud Puddles

The road ahead has twists and turns, it is difficult to see. As you start looking for a clear road ahead, you may see mud puddles and obstacles that weren’t there before. You may be wondering if this is still your path of least resistance, or if you must go find a new one. Breathe, dear ones. Although it used to be that a contract would come along once every so few years and you’d be able to work on it a while, now you’re going to find them right after one another. It is nothing actually wrong, simply the way you set it up. Do anything you can to start connecting your hearts and connect to other beings, even if it’s at a distance. Being able to see a spirit inside a physical body is your job, that’s what you came to do here on Earth. Tag, you’re it!

Although you can see all of the mud puddles, difficulties and challenges that you must cross, re-member to keep moving and enjoy the journey, dear ones. We ask you to treat each other with respect as you pass each other on the path. Nurture one another and play well together.

What do they need to ascend? We have alluded to this before. They must realize they are Divine. They must realize that they are Souls, immortal, everlasting Souls, ensconced in human hearts, in human bodies.
